1) Catatstrophe

This little typing game was inspired by the trials and tribulations of it’s developers at Small Leaf Studios. Play as a coder trying to complete your work within 48 hours despite the distracting antics of Cheeto the cat. As Cheeto relentlessly pushes over items and makes mischief around your studio apartment, you will need to type out your code and clean up after him, all while keeping your character’s sanity intact reflected on the bar in the upper righthand corner.

Catatstrophe was created for the GMTK Game Jam, “an annual game-making event, where thousands of developers get together to make a game in just one weekend.” In 2020, the theme was “out of control.”

Wild Woods began as a master’s degree project, but the developers plan to take it further with a full-length game currently slated to be playable on Steam sometime in 2023. In the meantime, Wild Woods is available as a free demo on itch.io. For the complete release, developers stated that they are focusing on the online multiplayer aspect for teams of 1-4 players.

Fill your home with cats and shower them with all your love in Kattespill. This simple management game simulates a cozy home and backyard filled with kitties. Your objective is to keep them all clean, well-fed, and happy as you upgrade your supplies. To do so, simply click and drag the different cats to the object you want them to interact with. When a cat interacts with an object, this will add points to a corresponding meter. For example, dropping a cat onto the bathtub will improve the cleanliness bar next to the little rain cloud, while being placed on a bed impacts their energy levels, represented by the lightning bolt.
